You may be asking where to start with a skincare regimen. While there are great options for extra exfolation, anti-aging, and getting glowy, a 4-piece day and night regimen is a great place to start. Here are my top 3 favorite regimens.
Here are the three things your skincare regimen needs to do (if you’re under 80 years old)
- Cleanser to exfoliate dead skin with AHAs and BHAs, not just wash dead skin. An effective cleanser makes all of your other skincare ingredients work–waste nothing on dead skin cells! This is also why we get facial treatments sooner as we age. Your skin cells eventually turn over less rapidly, year after year.
- SPF to protect from the sun’s rays. The most important thing skincare can do is keep you out of an 8-hour Mohs skin cancer surgery in a few years. Avoid sunburn at all times and protect your skin with the antioxidants found in Image Skincare SPF moisturizers. Sunglasses and a cute hat are always recommended, too!
- Spot treat gravity and boost hydration to age gracefully. Will you choose retinol (exfoliate the lines away) or stem cells (allow the lines to bounce back) to age gracefully? Choosing my top 4 was easier than I thought! This is what I’m using today! I used the matte moisturizer last year, but the tube lasted 8 months, and I needed extra hydration in the cold months. The pure mineral hydrating may appear chalky on some skintones, so I suggest the tinted or matte if you have a deeper skintone than mine!
